Hrvatska je debatna velesila u malom — zemlja koja je ugostila Svjetsko srednjoškolsko debatno prvenstvo i čija mreža debatnih klubova okuplja preko tisuću učenika. Iz te je kulture izrasla i Gabrijela: kroz srednjoškolske godine izgradila je reputaciju koja je prešla granice, pa je i sam Sciences Po, predstavljajući svoju Jessup ekipu, opisuje kao debatanticu svjetskog glasa iz srednjoškolskih i preddiplomskih dana. Croatia is a debating superpower in miniature — a country that has hosted the World Schools Debating Championships and whose network of debate clubs gathers over a thousand pupils. Gabrijela grew out of that culture: through her high school years she built a reputation that crossed borders, to the point that Sciences Po itself, introducing its Jessup team, described her as a world-renowned debater from her school and undergraduate days.

Dolaskom u Francusku učinila je nešto neobično: umjesto da samo nastavi vlastitu natjecateljsku karijeru, počela je graditi sustav. Suosnivačica je nevladine udruge koja upravlja francuskom srednjoškolskom debatnom reprezentacijom (French National Debating Team) i razvija debatno obrazovanje u Francuskoj — zemlji s bogatom retoričkom tradicijom, ali bez izgrađene infrastrukture za međunarodnu školsku debatu na engleskom. Arriving in France, she did something unusual: instead of simply continuing her own competitive career, she started building a system. She co-founded the NGO that manages the French National Debating Team and develops debate education in France — a country with a rich rhetorical tradition, but without an established infrastructure for international schools debating in English.
Posao je vrlo konkretan: dvotjedni treninzi s desetoricom članova reprezentacije, regrutacija i koordinacija s više od pedeset škola diljem francuskih regija, priprema za međunarodna natjecanja. The work is very concrete: training the ten-member national squad twice a week, recruiting and coordinating with more than fifty schools across the French regions, preparing for international competitions. At the World Schools Debating Championships (WSDC) she is listed as France's national organisation contact, through the Sciences Po Reims Students Debating Union.

Rezultat je stigao brzo. Na Svjetskom srednjoškolskom debatnom prvenstvu 2023. ekipa koju je trenirala osvojila je nagradu Best New Nation — priznanje najboljoj reprezentaciji-novakinji na svjetskoj razini. Za zemlju koja se na toj pozornici tek etablirala, to je bio dokaz da sustav koji je pomogla izgraditi — radi. The results came quickly. At the 2023 World Schools Debating Championships, the team she coached won the Best New Nation Award — recognition for the best debut nation at world level. For a country still establishing itself on that stage, it was proof that the system she had helped build — works.
